Our unpainted fairings have the same finish as the outside of a typical new fiberglass boat in a glossy black gel-coat that does not require paint. That said, our polyurethane paint with clear coat is wet-sanded and polished to a deeper and smoother gloss, is tougher, more scratch resistant, and longer lasting than any gel-coat finish can be. We therefore recommend that our fairings be painted, both inner and outer, for optimum appearance and longevity.
